Reigning champions Borussia Dortmund suffered their first defeat in the second week of the new Bundesliga season as they lost 1-0 at Hoffenheim on Saturday.
The home side grabbed an early lead when Bosnia striker Sejad Salihovic converted a free-kick in the ninth minute and backed it up with some resolute defending to claim their first win of the new campaign.
"Hoffenheim got the victory because they showed greater passion," Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp said after the game, AFP reported.
"The defeat feels really bad as I didn't have the feeling we couldn't have picked up anything here in terms of points," Klopp added, AFP reported.

After a shock 1-0 defeat at home to Borussia Moenchengladbach last weekend, Bayern Munich grabbed their first points of the season with a 1-0 win at Wolfsburg, thanks to a 91st minute goal by the Brazil midfielder Luiz Gustavo.
Schalke also bounced back after going down 3-0 to Stuttgart in the opening weekend, with Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scoring a hat-trick in a convincing 5-1 home win against Cologne.
There were also wins for Hanover -- who beat Nuremberg 2-1 -- and Mainz, whose 2-1 win away to Freiburg sees them go to the top of the table on goal difference.
Newly-promoted Hertha Berlin picked up their first points of the season with a 2-2 draw at Hamburg.
Borussia Monchengladbach and Stuttgart both maintained their unbeaten start to the season as they drew 1-1 at the Borussia Park Stadion.
After a goalless first half, the home side struck first when Belgian defender Filip Daems converted a penalty kick in the 67th minute.
But the lead didn't last long as Brazilian-born striker Cacau scored just four minutes later.
In Sunday's fixtures, FC Kaiserslautern host Augsburg while Bayer Leverkusen take on Werder Bremen.
